Theme 2 - Education & Economies

This research examines barriers, as well as transformative pathways, to improving educational outcomes and economic participation, which are both shown to increase socio-economic opportunities. This theme aligns with the education and employment outcomes identified as a priority in NA-CTG-2020. that includes increasing pre-school age children’s

ability to thrive and engage, increasing the number of young Indigenous people to achieve year 12 or equivalent and attain tertiary qualifications, with a focus on Indigenous women’s participation in labour markets and improving participation of Indigenous youth in employment, education, and training.
