Theme 1 – Law and Justice

This research will explore how the criminal justice system, alongside other closed environments, shapes and perpetuates Indigenous educational, economic, health and wellbeing inequities. This theme aligns with four socio-economic outcomes identified in the NA-CTG-2020 priority reform areas: reducing Indigenous incarceration, child detention and out of home care, family violence and the impact of racism.

Project 1.1 - Indigenous Community Survivance
Project 1.2 - Indigenous Deaths and Survivance in Custody
Project 1.3 - Indigenous Survivance and Correctional Services Programs
