Ella Reweti is a Research Development Officer in the University of Melbourne’s Faculty of Arts, where she coordinates programs for the ARC Centre of Excellence for Indigenous Futures and the Initiative for Peacebuilding.

She is first-generation Māori living in Australia, with a background in anthropology and a research interest in how cultural identity, belonging and wellbeing are shaped by Trans-Tasman migration and return mobilities. Since 2023, she has held research roles at the University of Melbourne, first with the Indigenous Studies Unit and later in the Faculty of Architecture, Building and Planning, where she contributed to a cultural mapping project on the Millu (Murray River). In addition to her academic work, Ella maintains an artistic practice as a ceramicist, and previously ran a successful ceramics business for five years.
