ARC Advisory Committee Appointment for Chief Investigator

Congratulations Professor Bronwyn Fredericks, Chief Investigator and Education & Economies Theme Lead, on her recent appointment to the newly established Australian Research Council (ARC) Advisory Committee.

ARC Chief Executive Officer, Professor Ute Roessner AM FAA, has today welcomed the establishment of the new ARC Advisory Committee by the Minister for Education, The Hon Jason Clare MP.

‘The ARC understands the significance of drawing from expertise across the higher education and research sectors, as well as from industry and end-user perspectives,’ Professor Roessner said.

The ARC Advisory Committee is a key component of the ARC’s revised governance framework, established under recent amendments to the Australian Research Council Act 2001 (the Act). It will provide advice to support the ARC Board in setting priorities, strategies and policies.

The Committee is comprised of leaders from universities, industry, civil society, and public administration and includes ex-officio members of government. Each member will bring valuable experience and strategic insights to inform the ARC’s policy and planning agenda.
