NHMRC grant for IFC researcher

An IFC reseacher has been awarded a top health grant to advance health for Indigenous Australians.

IFC Deputy Director Professor Roxanne Bainbridge has secured a new NHMRC grant for a five-year program advancing Value-Based Healthcare (VBC) for Indigenous Australians.

VBC shifts focus from service volumes to patient outcomes, aiming to improve health, reduce chronic disease, and enhance quality of life. The program will develop, implement, and evaluate a culturally aligned, sustainable VBC model for primary (chronic conditions) and tertiary (surgery) healthcare.
