IFC keep the fire burning at NAIDOC Week

The IFC team were out and about during NAIDOC week, attending dozens of events around the country.


The team at IFC had a huge NAIDOC Week, keeping the fire burning, kicking off with Celebrating Blak Excellence", hosted by the UQ Poche Centre for Indigenous Health & ProfessorJames Ward.

NAIDOC Musgrave Park Family Fun Day Arielle Daniel Members of the Centre also attended a panel discussions facilitated by UQ's Faculty of Medicine & A/Professor   Thelma Parker, as well as a walking tour of UQ’s Aboriginal and Torres Strait history and significant sites,  followed by the Aboriginal Flavours morning tea.

 To wrap up the week, the Centre also ran a stall at Musgrave Park's Family Fun Day in Meanjin, where they had  a  chance to meet hundreds of people from the local community.

 Another highlight of the week was thes Annual NAIDOC Lecture at UQ, presented byProfessor Megan Davis     and hosted by IFC Chief InvestigatorBronwyn Fredericks.
