Gathering Strength Summit

This month, hundreds of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander People gathered for

the Bandarran Marra'Gu: Gathering Strength Summit.

IFC Elder in Residence Uncle Cheg spoke on a panel at the session, attended by Centre members, including Director Professor Brendan Hokowhitu, that aimed at informing a First Peoples agenda to promote better futures for communities.

The recently released Gathering Strength Statement says “We do not need another inquiry that speaks around us. We need action that starts with us”.
